Pune: Power supply to the newly operational route from Vanaz to Ruby Hall was disrupted for 20 minutes on August 14 at around 5.30 pm.

On 14th August, at around 5:30 pm, Metro service on the route from Vanaz to Ruby Hall was halted for 20 minutes. Prima facie it was seen that due to electricity failure, provided by MSEDCL, the Metro service was halted. However, the MSEDCL has clarified, through a press note, that they do not supply electricity to Pune Metro.

As per information, Pune Metro is supplied with 132 KV power from MSETCL and not from Mahavitaran. According to the senior officials of MSETCL, on Monday evening, the maintenance and repair work of the power system at Range Hills Ultra High Voltage 132 KV Substation was started by Pune Metro. At that time, due to a technical failure in the metro’s internal power system, the power supply of the metro service was off for 20 minutes.
