Art Mandai, is an artistic exhibition that aims to bring authenticity and affordability in their art pieces to the general public at large.
The exhibition is held annually on 26 January at the Mahatma Phule Mandai, Shukrawar Peth, Pune.

The theme of the exhibition inspires people to connect themselves with their authentic artwork and to own them and place it in their personal surroundings.

Beginning from 2016, Art Mandai has effectively carved out a new place for art in the city and sparked new discussions about one of Pune’s most beloved heritage buildings.

By bringing the Mahatma Phule Mandai back into the public eye, Art Mandai also gives it a new audience.
The Mandai serves as a social melting pot for many social classes. It is utilised for political events, religious celebrations, theatrical productions, and historical walks. Photographers swarm there on the weekends to capture the subtleties of the setting and its inhabitants.

Alongside vegetable and fruit vendors, art is sold and displayed in an effort to undermine hierarchies, make art more accessible, and expand these conversations beyond the walls of art galleries. This includes interactive and performing arts.

This year they have got 28 artists and also a performer to join them at the exhibition. Every year, Art Mandai selects a different topic. It is important that performers and artists focus solely on this issue and respond to it in accordance with their individual artistic sensibility.

An important social cause is supported with 35% of the money from the sale of the artwork. As a result, Art Mandai constructed a drinking water station in the Mahatma Phule Mandai’s grounds in 2019 for the general public, but especially for the Mandai’s stall owners and vegetable merchants.
