The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has started planning for artificial rain to control pollution. For this, it has been decided to call for the price list from the interested companies and the deadline for submitting proposals for this will be from December 4. The Bombay Municipal Corporation informed that a three-year contract will be signed with the company that will be selected to provide artificial rain in Mumbai.

As per further information, the BMC is taking various measures to control the large amount of pollution in Mumbai. Guidelines for pollution control are being implemented at the ward level and strict action is being taken to stop constructions, register cases, and seal constructions. However, not stopping at this, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had recently held a meeting with the officials of the BMC.

BMC informed that the municipal corporation has also started its investigation and the cost price list will be requested from the interested companies. He said that they will also post an advertisement in the next two days.

The deadline for submission of cost estimates and tariff proposals will be from December 4 to December 14. Other conditions will include at least seven years of experience in artificial rainfall. After submitting the price list proposals by the companies, the further tender process will be carried out only after discussing with them. One or two companies will be selected for this work.

The BMC will take a decision at the senior level only after the tariff is submitted and the next process is carried out. Also, how much rain should be planned in Mumbai for pollution control, and how many times a day it should be rained, etc. will also be discussed. It is worthy to note that BMC is planning artificial rain in December.
