Pimpri Chinchwad, June 5, 2025: In preparation for the annual Shri Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Ashadhi Wari pilgrimage scheduled from June 19 to July 6, 2025, a high-level coordination meeting was held today at the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate.
The meeting, led by Commissioner of Police Vinaykumar Chaube (IPS), focused on ensuring smooth and secure management of the Wari procession, which draws thousands of devotees to Alandi each year. Discussions centered on key areas such as traffic regulation, parking arrangements, crowd control strategies, optimal police deployment, and crime prevention during the event.
Senior police officials in attendance included: Sarang Avhad, Additional Commissioner of Police, Dr. Shivaji Pawar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 3, Bapu Bangar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Rajendrasinh Gaur, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Chakan Division, Bhimrao Narke, Police Inspector, Alandi Police Station, Satish Nandurkar, Police Inspector, Alandi Traffic Division, Members of the Shri Kshetra Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Devasthan Trust, Alandi, also participated in the discussion. Present from the trust were: Yogi Niranjannath Guru Shantinath Maharaj, Dr. Bhavarth Dekhne, Chief Coordinator of the Palanquin Departure Ceremony, Dnyaneshwar Veer, Chief Administrator, Trustees including Adv. Rajendra Umap, H.B.P. Chaitanya Maharaj Londhe, H.B.P. Shrimahant Purushottam Maharaj Murlidhar Patil, and Adv. Dr. Rohini Pawar
Commissioner Chaube stressed the importance of efficient coordination between law enforcement agencies and religious authorities to ensure a safe, well-organized, and spiritually fulfilling experience for all participants.
The Police Department has assured all necessary arrangements will be made in accordance with the scale of the event.
