Baba Siddique Murder case: Two arrested didn’t open fire at NCP leader, reveals Police
In a shocking incident on Saturday evening, NCP Ajit Pawar faction MLA Baba Siddique was shot dead around 7:30 PM. The attack took place when Siddique was at his office to meet his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique. Three shooters targeted him during the visit.
The attackers, identified as Dhanraj Kashyap, Gurnail Singh, and Shivkumar Gautam, had initially planned for Dhanraj and Gurnail to open fire. However, due to the presence of police security and a crowd at the location, they changed the plan at the last moment. Shivkumar decided to lead the attack and personally shoot Siddique.
Shivkumar fired six bullets, out of which two struck Baba Siddique, resulting in his death.
Following the shooting, the assailants attempted to flee. Police managed to arrest Dhanraj and Gurnail soon after, but Shivkumar escaped, taking advantage of the crowd.
Upon investigation, police revealed that Dhanraj and Gurnail were armed but did not fire. They were unaware of who ordered Siddique’s killing. Only Shivkumar had knowledge of the mastermind behind the assassination, and the police are currently searching for him.
This tragic incident has shocked the political community, and investigations are ongoing to find the third accused, Shivkumar Gautam, and uncover the motive behind the assassination.
The arrested suspects are currently in police custody, and further inquiries are underway.
