Bavdhan citizens observe ‘No Vehicle Day’

Citizens of Bavdhan celebrated Friendship Day by observing ‘No Vehicle Sunday August 2021.’ The initiative organised by Bavdhan Citizens Forum https://www.facebook.com/bavdhancitizens saw participation of over 20 citizens from Bavdhan who cycled from LMD chowk and ended their cycle drive at LMD chowk.

The forum did not have much drives in the last few months as the group members were busy in conducting and spreading awareness on vaccination. Taking advantage of the beautiful weather, the group thought that the time had come to revive the goal of Safe, Vehicle Free Bavdhan.

Atul Patil, a resident of Bavdhan said, “The residents were enthusiastic about the cycle ride which started after a long break. We are looking forward to have more participation of other residents of Bavdhan who can keep their vehicles away atleast one day of the week or month. Cycling has many benefits, environment, health and is an economical mode of transport too. We should all come forward to help save nature.”
