Bengaluru woman rider fined Rs 1.36 Lakh, Honda Activa scooter seized for 270 traffic violations

In a startling turn of events, a woman rider in Bengaluru faced the consequences of repeatedly flouting traffic laws when she received a staggering fine of Rs 1.36 lakh for a total of 270 violations. The violations, which included riding without a helmet, carrying a pillion rider without a helmet, wrong-side riding, mobile phone usage while riding, and jumping traffic signals, were captured by CCTV cameras installed along her usual route within the city.

The woman, who was last seen riding on a scooter without a helmet, was handed the hefty challan, an amount significantly higher than the cost of her Honda Activa scooter itself. As a result of her repeated violations, authorities also impounded her Activa scooter.
