In a swift operation, the Mumbai Police crime branch apprehended two individuals from Gujarat’s Bhuj in connection with the recent firing incident at Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence in Bandstand. Both suspects, hailing from Bihar, were nabbed within 24 hours of the incident.

The arrests were made by Unit 9 of the crime branch, led by Inspector Daya Nayak. The detained individuals were identified as Vikas alias Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, who allegedly carried out the shooting on the orders of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Reports indicate that the shooters disposed of their pistols by throwing them into a river in Surat following the incident. Initial investigations suggest that the duo acted out of monetary motives, as they confessed to executing the orders for financial gain.

The assailants fired indiscriminately at Khan’s balcony during the early hours of Sunday at Galaxy apartment in Bandstand, Bandra. However, the police assert that their primary objective was not to cause harm to Khan but to instill fear.

The arrests mark a significant breakthrough in the case and underscore the Mumbai Police’s commitment to swiftly apprehending perpetrators of criminal activities. Further investigations into the incident are underway to ascertain all relevant details and motives behind the attack.
