Bhimthadi Jatra Returns to Pune With a Grand Showcase of Rural Culture From December 20 to 25
Pune is all set for the return of Bhimthadi Jatra, one of the city’s most awaited cultural festivals. The event will run from December 20 to December 25, 2025 at the Agriculture College Ground, Sinchan Nagar, Shivajinagar. Gates will remain open daily from 10 am to 10 pm, and visitors will have access to free, spacious parking.
This year’s Jatra promises an even richer experience with 325 stalls featuring products from women entrepreneurs across 18 districts of Maharashtra and 12 other states. The fair continues its mission of empowering women-led self-help groups, offering them a platform to sell handmade crafts, traditional food items, textiles, organic products, and other rural specialties. For visitors, it creates a vibrant marketplace where shopping directly supports local artisans and small businesses.
The fair also highlights rural heritage through folk performances, interactive exhibits, and cultural demonstrations. Several curated zones will showcase traditional art forms, sustainable lifestyles, and community-driven innovations, allowing visitors to experience Maharashtra’s grassroots culture in an immersive way.
Organisers have designed the event to be welcoming for all. The venue includes wheelchair access, pet-friendly areas, baby-feeding rooms, medical assistance, and shopping carts for convenience. To improve accessibility, the Agriculture College’s main gate on Savitribai Phule Pune University Road will be open on December 21, 22, and 25.
