Maharashtra | December 6: Maharashtra is set to experience an intense spell of cold weather, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a Yellow Alert for three districts in Vidarbha due to a cold wave warning on December 7. While temperatures continue to fluctuate across the state, Vidarbha has recorded a significant dip in minimum temperatures, making conditions especially harsh during the morning and evening hours.
According to IMD reports, Nagpur and Gondia districts have recorded single-digit minimum temperatures, intensifying concerns over the growing cold wave conditions. The cold is also being felt during daytime in some areas, indicating a prolonged winter impact across the region.
Maharashtra Weather Forecast for December 7
Mumbai and Suburbs
Mumbai is expected to experience partly cloudy skies with light fog in some areas. Dry weather will continue, with temperatures remaining stable:

- Minimum Temperature: 21°C
Despite severe cold in other regions, Mumbai has not yet recorded a major drop in temperature.
Pune and Western Maharashtra
Western Maharashtra is also witnessing noticeable temperature fluctuations. Pune will likely have clear skies with dry conditions prevailing:

- Minimum Temperature: 14°C
Cold winds are expected to continue, especially during the night and early morning hours.
Marathwada Region
Marathwada will experience persistent cold conditions. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is forecast to remain clear:

- Minimum Temperature: 14°C
Other cities in Marathwada may also see varying temperatures, with colder nights predicted.
North Maharashtra
North Maharashtra is facing some of the coldest conditions this season. In Nashik, the cold is expected to intensify:

- Minimum Temperature: 12°C
Several other cities in the region may also see minimum temperatures hovering around 12°C.
Vidarbha: Cold Wave Warning Issued
Cold conditions have intensified in Vidarbha with Nagpur and Gondia recording temperatures as low as 9°C. The IMD has issued a Yellow Alert for Nagpur, Gondia, and Yavatmal districts due to a cold wave warning on December 7.
Expected temperatures in the affected districts:

- Minimum Temperature: 11–12°C
IMD warns that residents may experience severe cold and advises caution, particularly for children, the elderly, and those with respiratory illnesses.
