Bhosari Constituency: Strict Ban On Free Food and Incentives In Final 72 Hours Before Polling, Announces EC
Bhosari, November 18, 2024 – Ahead of the November 20, 2024, polling day for the 207 Bhosari Assembly Constituency, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has reiterated strict enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), in effect since October 15, 2024.
During the crucial 72 hours before polling concludes, offering any incentives, such as free food or benefits, within housing societies or communities is strictly prohibited. The ECI has directed housing society office bearers to monitor and prevent such activities.
Returning Officer Revannath Labade emphasized that any violations must be stopped and reported immediately, warning that non-compliance will result in stringent legal action under election rules.
Citizens and housing societies are urged to uphold these regulations to maintain the fairness and transparency of the election process.
