Birthday Cake Delivered To Wrong City; Pune Swiggy Agent Gets Sweet Surprise Instead
Woman shares viral story of mix-up that ended with delivery partner celebrating her special day
A birthday surprise that was meant to reach a woman in her hometown accidentally travelled to Pune instead — and ended up making a delivery agent’s day.
The incident was shared on X by Deepshikha Bagal, who described how her birthday cake was mistakenly ordered to the wrong city due to a location mix-up.
“My birthday cake got delivered at the wrong place,” she wrote.
Bagal explained that she was in her hometown for her birthday. While food delivery platforms operate there, some quick-commerce services are not available. She also noted that location pins in the area can sometimes be unreliable.

How The Mix-Up Happened
While she was on a call with friends, they decided to surprise her by ordering a birthday cake. They placed the order and continued chatting. After some time, the delivery partner contacted one of her friends asking for the exact location.
That is when confusion began.
When they checked the address on the app, the location did not look familiar. After comparing screenshots, they realised something was seriously wrong.
The delivery partner eventually called Bagal directly and started describing the area. She still could not recognise it. Finally, she asked him which city he was in.
The answer left them stunned — he was in Pune.
In reality, she was not in Pune at all.
A Sweet Ending To The Confusion
Feeling embarrassed about the mistake, she told the delivery agent the truth. When he called again to ask what should be done with the cake, she suggested he keep it.
“Bhaiyaa, it’s my birthday, we made a mistake. You should just keep the cake,” she told him.
According to her post, there was a noticeable warmth in his voice when he realised it was her birthday.
“Achha, aaj aapka birthday hai? Happy birthday, madam,” he said.
Bagal wrote that she did not get to cut her birthday cake, but somewhere in Pune, a delivery partner got an unexpected treat.
The post quickly gained attention online, with many users appreciating the wholesome turn of events. What began as a delivery blunder ended up becoming a heartwarming story of kindness and shared celebration across cities.
