Pune : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) city President, Jagdish Mulik and former MLA Hadapsar constituency Yogesh Tilekar, met with Pune Municipal Commissioner and Administrator, Vikram Kumar, to discuss the necessary provisions for various projects in the upcoming budget of PMC.

Mulik emphasized the need to avoid tax hikes in the upcoming budget and requested that the PMC should provide funds for several crucial projects. He urged the PMC to extend the metro network to every corner of Pune with the support of the Centre and State governments. He suggested that the PMC should create a detailed project report (DPR) and plan for making NEO metro projects in future.

Mulik also requested, “Allocation of funds to increase the number of bus services provided by PMPML, along with the introduction of the Punyadasham bus service to different parts of Pune at low cost.”

He also emphasised the importance of completing the 24/7 water supply scheme. And starting sewage cleanliness work before the monsoon. He mentioned the previous year’s heavy rains and floods, which had adversely affected citizens.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the administrator in Pune, Mulik, said, “The work on sewage cleanliness had only been done on paper. This had resulted in Punekars facing heavy rainfall and flood situations, along with significant traffic congestion. If a general body had been present, corporators could have addressed these issues in their respective wards by connecting with concerned officers.”
