Pune City President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Dheeraj Ghate has demanded that the police should deny permission to the ‘Nirbhay Bano’ program of journalist Nikhil Wagle, who has been making controversial statements to gain popularity.
As per further information from the letter of BJP to Parvati Police Station, “Some short-sighted people who constantly make insulting statements about the country’s beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi & also pollute the atmosphere of the society by thinking that awarding ‘Bharat Ratna’ to the Former Deputy Prime Minister of India Lal Krishna Advani is like one rioter giving praise to another rioter. Some blind people who are polluting the atmosphere of the society with such nausea in their minds are going to hold a meeting called ‘Nirbhay Bano’ on 9 February 2024 at Sane Guruji Smarak in Pune.”
The letter further continues “In the last ten years, the country is developing rapidly under the leadership of Narendra Modi. Modi’s name is being praised all over the world. But seeing all this, some people can’t digest this. Therefore, the leaders who hold constitutional positions in the country are deliberately defamed through programs like ‘Nirbhay Bano’.”
The letter further says “Even after the announcement of Bharat Ratna award to Advani, these selected people had stooped to a very low level and disrespected the highest honor of the country. At the same time, Modi and Advani were insulted.”
The letter continues “The only aim of the program organizers is to create a rift in the society. Bharatiya Janata Party has always stood against such divisive tendencies in the society.”
The letter concludes with “Through this letter, we are demanding that Nirbhay Bano program should not be allowed to happen to stop those who make anti-national statements. While the country is fear-free, some people are pushing anti-India agenda. Pune City Bharatiya Janata Party will not remain silent unless this program is thwarted.”
