Blast at construction site in Sus damages vehicles
Residents of Sus were in deep shock when a blast at a construction site in Sus damaged their vehicles as well as window panes. The blast occurred at VTP’s construction site located on Sus Road near Bitwise Company. Blast damaged a car of nearby resident, and flat windows of nearby residents from Bella Casa and Western Hills Phase 1 and also developed cracks in the walls of the society. The incident took place at VTP’s verve project in Sus.
A Bella Casa society resident has filed an FIR at Hinjawadi Police station. Police are further investigating the case.
Vaishali Patkar, a resident of the area informed that the blast damaged her car glasses and also damaged flat window panes. She further lodged a complaint at the Hinjawadi police station.
She said, “At 4.30 pm we heard a loud noise and everyone in the society went running down to see what caused this loud noise and disturbance which led to breaking of window panes. The construction site was causing blasts with the help of JCB machines. My four wheeler has caused damage as the rear glass is broken. When I demanded permission letter to conduct construction site late in the evening the site contractor could not produce any such document. Today’s incident was totally ignoring safety of human lives and cars too. I am hoping for strict action. ”
Pune Pulse tried contacting the builder as well as Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority but they remained unavailable to comment on the issue.
