Late Thursday night, the Pune Police Control Room received a call raising concerns about a potential bomb threat at Poona Hospital. The anonymous call triggered immediate action from law enforcement, prompting the deployment of the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) to conduct a thorough search of the hospital premises.

The call, indicating the presence of a planted bomb, led to heightened security measures, causing a temporary disturbance in the central part of the city. Upon receiving the alert, senior police officials along with the BDDS team swiftly reached the location to assess the situation and address the potential threat.

Throughout the night, the BDDS team, accompanied by police personnel, meticulously combed through the hospital premises in search of any suspicious items or devices. The intensive search continued until the early hours of the morning.

Despite the extensive efforts and precautionary measures, no explosive device or suspicious object resembling a bomb was discovered during the search operation. The situation is under control, and authorities are focusing on identifying the individual responsible for the bomb threat call.

The incident highlights the challenges faced by law enforcement in managing and responding to potential security threats, necessitating a coordinated and prompt approach to ensure the safety and well-being of the public.
