Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa welcomed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in grand fashion as it shimmered with the colors of the Indian Tricolour, accompanied by the words ‘Guest of Honor – Republic of India.’ The dazzling display, orchestrated by Dubai’s Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was a heartfelt gesture symbolizing the enduring bond between India and the United Arab Emirates.

The radiant showcase preceded PM Modi’s keynote address at the World Government Summit 2024, where he was invited as the Guest of Honour by UAE Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The Crown Prince praised the strong ties between the two nations as a model for international cooperation and expressed anticipation for India’s showcase of innovations and initiatives at the global summit. PM Modi’s official two-day visit to the UAE includes meetings with dignitaries and the inauguration of the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi.

The illuminated Burj Khalifa not only serves as a spectacular welcome for the Indian Prime Minister but also underscores the warm relations shared between the two nations. This luminous display echoes a similar Tricolour illumination on India’s 77th Independence Day in August 2023, marking significant moments of celebration and camaraderie.
