Bus falls into Narmada river: 12 die, 15 rescued

In a tragic incident, a Maharashtra state transport bus coming from Indore to Pune fell off from the ghat area into the Narmada river on Monday morning.

The bus was using the Khalght Sanjay Setu bridge when it lost control and fell 25 feet down into the river bridge. NDRF officials along with rescue teams and ambulances rushed to the spot. Fifteen passengers were rescued and rushed to the hospital while 12 bodies were pulled out.

As per the authorities, the bus was carrying 40 people including the driver and the conductor.
