Byculla : Mumbai’s Byculla Railway Station Conferred With UNESCO’s Asia Pacific Cultural Heritage Award

It’s a matter of pride for Indian Railway and Nation to receive UNESCO award for restoration of the BYCULLA railway station to its original glory.

This project was done for the commuters by initiatives of-

  • -Shaina Chudasama Munot of “I Love Mumbai” foundation
  • -NGO “The Bajaj group Charitable trust” by Meenal Bajaj
  • -Conservation architect Abha Narain Lamba.

The 169-year-old BYCULLA railway station in Mumbai is one of the oldest living railway stations in India.

The Byculla railway station has received UNESCO’s Asia Pacific Cultural Heritage award, plaque and certificate.

The award was handed over to Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnav by Shaina Chudasama Munot, Meenal Bajaj and Abha Narain Lambha.
