CCTV surveillance systems in Wanowrie remain inactive

There have been several CCTV surveillance systems installed in Wanowrie area but the residents have pointed out that some of them are out of order due to technical glitches.

When Pune Pulse spoke to the Wanawadi traffic division official, API Buva he said, “There are CCTV surveillance systems around Wanowrie which are linked to our CCTV monitoring control room. If there are any problems with the CCTV the technical team gets it rectified. But there are a few CCTV’s which are under the PMC’s traffic control department. This is under them and hence we have no update on its working.”

Bua further stated that the problems could be anything from faulty cable line, cuts in cable wire, software issues, etc. which are resolved by the dedicated team assigned to it.

When asked about the working of CCTV surveillance systems not working in Wanowrie, corporator of Prabhag 25 and former mayor of Pune, Prashant Jagtap assured that the technical issues would be resolved. There are several CCTV surveillance systems installed under Wanawadi Police station at Golibar maidan, Fatima nagar – Ramtekdi – Samvidhan chowk and other areas too.
