Young Achievers from Maharashtra Shine Bright in Nation’s Toughest Engineering Exam
Three 17-year-olds, Aayush Chaudhari (Pune), Sanidhya Saraf (Andheri), and Vishad Jain (Kandivali) — have aced JEE (Main) 2025 with a 100 percentile score, placing themselves among the top 24 students in India to do so. The results, declared Saturday, mark a major milestone in their journey towards IIT admission via JEE (Advanced) on May 18.
The trio emerged victorious from a pool of 14.75 lakh candidates across two sessions — January and April. The cut-off for general category candidates was 93.1 percentile, nearly unchanged from last year’s 93.23.
Meet the Toppers:
- Aayush Chaudhari (SNBP Int’l School, Pune):
Prepared at Bakliwal Tutorials since Class 8. Scored 295 this year, an improvement from 259 in his last attempt. Inspired by his IIT Kanpur graduate brother, Aayush is torn between Computer Science and Aerospace Engineering at IIT Bombay. - Sanidhya Saraf (Narayana E-Techno, Andheri):
Originally from Kashmir, raised in Pune, Sanidhya brought global perspective from the 2024 Astronomy & Astrophysics Olympiad. He’s balancing intense prep with a passion for stargazing, flute, and debate, while still undecided between engineering and pure sciences. - Vishad Jain (Narayana School, Kandivali):
Started prep in Class 4, and credited Olympiads and the Homi Bhabha Exam for nurturing his love for science. Though selected for the Physics Olympiad Orientation Camp, Vishad is skipping it to focus fully on JEE Advanced, eyeing IIT Bombay – CSE. His stress-busters? Fiction books, dancing, and walks on Juhu beach.
These bright minds show that beyond formulas and equations, it’s the balance of discipline, inspiration, and passion that helps crack one of India’s most competitive exams.
