Yesterday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde actively took part in the cleanliness campaign at the renowned Juhu Beach in Mumbai as part of the recently initiated Deep Clean Drive by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Eknath Shinde’s involvement in the cleanliness drive was a gesture of homage to Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation.

During the cleanliness drive at Juhu Beach, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde was spotted operating a tractor. Nevertheless, social media users are criticizing the Chief Minister and circulating photographs of Juhu Beach that allegedly depict the beach as already clean from a day prior.

The online community is questioning Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s decision to deep-clean Juhu Beach. They are wondering why he felt the necessity to carry out a thorough cleaning when the beach already appeared to be clean. A user has even shared pictures of Juhu Beach taken on Friday (December 08), which clearly show a clean beach, further supporting the argument that a cleanliness drive was unnecessary.

The cleanliness campaign initiated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has been labeled as a mere political maneuver. Shinde’s involvement in riding a tractor and cleaning an already pristine beach has raised suspicions. Eknath Shinde stated that the BMC has undertaken a ‘Deep Clean Drive’ under his guidance, aiming to create a pollution-free and visually appealing Mumbai.

The Chief Minister personally ensured the cleanliness of the beach by operating the beach cleaning machine himself, while commencing the cleanliness campaign with the presentation of garlands to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Juhu Chowpatty.
