Cinema Lover’s Day, which is on January 17, 2025, will feature a flat ticket price of Rs 99 across the country, making it an exciting event for moviegoers. New releases for that weekend include Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency and Azaad, starring Aaman Devgn and Rasha Thadani. Both films are anticipated to attract a significant audience on their opening day, as viewers are eager for more variety in Hindi cinema.

As per reports Emergency could earn between Rs 1.50 crore and Rs 2 crore at the box office. This film has experienced delays due to censorship issues, originally set to release on September 20, 2024. Unfortunately, the promotional efforts have been minimal, leaving its success largely dependent on word-of-mouth. If it garners a positive response from viewers, it might still succeed.

Azaad, in contrast, has struggled to create any excitement despite its promotional efforts. The film will feature the acting debuts of Aaman Devgn and Rasha Thadani, along with a significant cameo appearance by Ajay Devgn. Directed by Abhishek Kapur, the movie is projected to open with earnings between Rs 75 lakh and Rs 1.50 crore.

Currently, the advance booking figures for both films are not very promising. Their success will largely rely on last-minute ticket sales and the initial reactions from audiences. Additionally, these new releases will face competition from the re-release of Ram Gopal Varma’s Satya and the revamped version of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, which will include an extra 20 minutes of action-packed content.
