Citizens celebrate as metro network extended to Nigdi

Pune: For the last six years, on behalf of all social organizations and citizens of the city, demand has been made to extend the metro line from Phugewadi to Nigdi instead of Phugewadi to Pimpri. As their demand was fulfilled, a celebration was held at Morwadi Chowk at 11.30 a.m. on Tuesday on behalf of all social organizations and citizens. A large number of representatives and citizens of various social organizations were present on the occasion.

Various social organizations had formed a human chain and staged a hunger strike to demand that the metro network be extended to Nigdi. It was also pursued at various levels. The people’s movement was supported by various political parties and public representatives in the city. The unity of the people of the city has been won as the central government approved the issue of the Nigdi Metro extension on Monday. Therefore, all social organizations and citizens celebrated the festival at this place.
