Clash erupts at Bagheshwar Dham Baba’s Darbar in Pune ; timely intervention of police prevents escalation 

Pune : Tension flared at Bagheshwar Dham Baba’s darbar in Pune as a clash erupted between two groups, creating a chaotic situation that threatened the peace at the Darbar site in Sangamwadi area. However, prompt intervention by the police played a crucial role in swiftly bringing the situation under control.

The incident unfolded on Tuesday when a disagreement between two groups escalated into a physical altercation within the premises of Bagheshwar Dham Baba’s darbar in Nikam Farm in Sangamwadi area. Witnesses reported a sudden eruption of heated arguments, leading to a clash that raised concerns among devotees and onlookers.

Police deployed at the spot, receiving timely information about the disturbance, rushed to the scene to diffuse the situation. Police arrived promptly and implemented effective crowd control measures to separate the conflicting groups. The police presence helped prevent further escalation of violence and restored order at the Darbar site.

The cause of the dispute is currently under investigation, and Police are working to ascertain the motives behind the clash. Bagheshwar Dham Baba’s darbar has historically been a place of tranquility and spiritual solace, making the sudden eruption of violence all the more unexpected.

Bagheshwar Baba is in Pune to address divotess in his ‘Divya Darbar’ via Hanumanth and Shriram Katha. His Darbar has been organised by BJP Pune leader and ex MLA Jagdish Mulik from Monday to Wednesday. The Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti also expressed their opposition towards superstitious claims made by Baba.

The Bhim Army held a protest against Bagheshwar Baba and his Divya Darbar at Sancheti Chowk in Pune on Monday to raise voice against Baba’s comments against Sant Tukaram Maharaj.
