Class 10 Student Stabbed by Classmates for Refusing to Share Exam Answers in Maharashtra

In a shocking incident in Maharashtra’s Thane district, three students allegedly stabbed their classmate after he refused to share his answer-sheet with them during a Class 10 examination. The altercation took place on March 26 at the school premises immediately after the written exam.

According to reports, the trio confronted their classmate as he exited the exam hall and demanded to see his answer-sheet. When the victim declined their request, they proceeded to assault him physically. The altercation escalated, resulting in the three students stabbing their classmate before fleeing the scene.

The injured student was promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Although he sustained injuries from the stabbing, he was later discharged from the hospital, as confirmed by the police.

Following the incident, a case was registered against the three accused students at the Shanti Nagar police station in Bhiwandi under Section 324 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which deals with voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means. The accused students are minors, as indicated by the police.

The incident has sparked outrage and raised concerns about the safety and security of students during examination periods. Authorities have reiterated the importance of maintaining a peaceful and conducive environment for examinations and have vowed to take strict action against those found responsible for such violent acts.
