Class XII board examinations cancelled
Maharashtra State Education Board has cancelled the final examinations of Higher Secondary Class (Class XII).
The decision was taken today on the backdrop of the Covid19 pandemic.
Varsha Gaikwad, minister for education, Maharashtra state government said, “The decision was taken after we submitted a report to the State Disaster management cell. Once they approved it we decided to cancel and evaluate their performance too in a different way.

Earlier when the state government cancelled Class X exams, the students were assessed, based on their performance in the internal exams of Class 9 and 10. Something similar can be seen for 12th HSC exams, experts believe.
A meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi was held on June 1, 2021 wherein it was decided to cancel the CBSE Class 12 exams in view of the rise in Covid19 cases. Several state boards such as Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) and state boards like HBSE, RBSE, MP Board also cancelled Class 12 board 2021 exams.
