Pune: An incident has come to light wherein a company was established in a partnership in Mahalunge. Subsequently, an act of deceitful fraud occurred, involving the theft of the company’s research data and other materials, leading to the establishment of a separate company using these resources. Two individuals, one of whom is a woman, have been charged and an FIR has been filed against them at Hinjewadi police station.

Adhir Prabhakar Potdar (49), a resident of Sutarwadi, Pashan, has filed a complaint with the Hinjewadi police station. Suresh Atul More (32), a resident of Dahanukar Colony, Kothrud, along with a woman, have been charged under IPC sections 379, 403, 406, 418, 420, the IT Act, and Section 447 of the Companies Act.

As per the police, the woman and the plaintiff established a company named Nas Mycotech in 2018. The company was duly registered and intended to manufacture biodegradable packaging materials. As per the authorities, Nass Mycotech Company was established in 2018 by the complainant and the accused to produce eco-friendly packaging materials.

The plaintiff’s financial aid led to a partnership agreement, with a 33:33 stock share. Subsequently, the accused female director resigned after the patent was prepared. However, upon inquiry by the complainant, it was discovered that the accused had filed a new patent application for approval. Financially, the accused deceived the plaintiff by holding shares in the company. Furthermore, the plaintiff started a separate company, leveraging the acquired materials and patent data. Both individuals have been charged with cheating, and the Hinjewadi police are currently conducting further investigations.
