Concerns Raised Over Mahindra Thar Airbag Deployment After Fatal Srinagar Crash

A recent road accident in the Tengpora area of Srinagar has raised worries about the effectiveness of the airbag systems in Mahindra vehicles.

In this incident, a Mahindra Thar crashed into a stationary dump truck that was parked incorrectly on the side of the road. An initial investigation indicated that the driver was speeding and tried to overtake, which led to the accident.

This event has highlighted concerns regarding airbag deployment since early observations suggest that the airbags did not activate during the crash. Mahindra has faced similar scrutiny in the past regarding airbag issues. In a previous case involving a Scorpio, the company explained that the model had airbags, but the accident was a rollover, which did not activate the frontal airbags.
