Court Issues Arrest Warrant Against Sonu Sood for Failing to Testify in Fraud Case
Sonu Sood is facing trouble as a Ludhiana court issued an arrest warrant against him on Thursday for not appearing in court to give testimony in a fraud case. The court had summoned Sood regarding a case filed by Ludhiana lawyer Rajesh Khanna. Khanna accused Mohit Shukla of deceiving him of Rs 10 lakh. Khanna claimed he was enticed to invest in a counterfeit Rijika coin by Shukla, and Sood was required to provide testimony in this case. The court had summoned Sonu Sood to testify, but he failed to respond to the summons.
The warrant was issued by Judicial Magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur from Ludhiana. It has been sent to the Oshiwara Police Station located in Andheri West, Mumbai, instructing them to arrest the actor and bring him to court.
The court’s order noted that Sonu Sood, residing at H no. 605/606 Casablanca Apartment, had been duly served with summons or warrants but had not attended, indicating he was avoiding service. The order instructed his arrest and required him to appear before the court, according to news agency ANI.
“You are hereby directed to return this warrant on or before 10-02-2025 with an endorsement certifying the day on and the manner in which it has been executed, or the reason why it has not been executed,” the order further stated.
The next hearing for the case is set for February 10.

For the meeting, the actor wore an all-black outfit, consisting of a shirt and pants.
On the professional side, Sonu Sood is directing an action-packed thriller film titled ‘Fateh’, which was released in theaters on January 10. The film draws inspiration from real-life cybercrime incidents that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic.
