In the video, Bhave, a retired mechanical engineer, elaborates on his passion for creating cycles with innovative designs. His creations include cycles modified for workout purposes, such as those featuring rollers for upper body exercises, and an electric cycle that can be ridden manually if the battery is discharged.
Bhave explained that due to the lack of his own workshop, he relies on using other workshops when available, which means it can take around a month to complete each cycle project. He emphasized that he and his worker take up projects as time allows, without a specific target in mind.
Impressed by Bhave’s ingenuity and energy, Mahindra shared the story that landed in his inbox, praising Bhave’s creativity and determination. “I bow low to Sudhir Bhave’s irrepressible creativity and energy. Sudhir has demonstrated that inventiveness and a startup DNA in India is not only the prerogative of the young! And if you want to use the workshop of our Vadodara factory for your experiments, do let me know. No Sudhir, you are not ‘retired.’ You are in the most active and innovative period of your life,” Mahindra wrote.
Sudhir Bhave, who has spent approximately 40 years working in the steel industry, mentioned that he uses most of his cycles daily. Mahindra’s acknowledgment highlights Bhave’s skills and offers him new opportunities to continue his inventive pursuits.
