Cultural programmes held by Shivam society
Shivam society in Pimple Saudagar celebrated Dussera by organising Ravan Dahan. Earlier during Navratri the society also held garba while the residents came together for a grand celebration of Kojagiri Poornima. The society members together made Ravan’s effigy using grass, wood, and papers all by themselves.
There was also a small story which was narrated to the kids to make them aware of importance of Dussera and the reason why Ravan’s effigy is burnt.
Proper society distancing norms were followed during all the programmes amid loud chants of Jai Shree Ram as Ravan dahan concluded.
Residents fondly exchanged “Sona Patta” as a tradition of Dussera.
