Unconventional approach during Coldplay ticket queue leads to job referrals for finance student.

As Coldplay prepares for its highly anticipated return to India with three sold-out shows in January 2025, fans flooded ticketing platforms in hopes of securing a spot. During the virtual queues on BookMyShow, an unexpected moment unfolded on Grapevine, where an MBA student cleverly used a Coldplay ticket-related thread to ask for job referrals.

The student, pursuing an MBA in finance, boldly commented on the thread, saying, “Hi, can you please give me a referral for a fresher’s role?” While many were focused on tickets, one Razorpay employee noticed the comment and replied humorously, “Asking for referral even in the Coldplay queue. This is the coldest of emails I have ever seen.”

Undeterred, the student cleverly responded, “I’m in a queue too, to get selected by a good company. You’re from Razorpay. I think you should give me a referral too.” Impressed by the audacity, the Razorpay employee asked the student to send a direct message, ultimately leading to the student landing a few referrals.

This interaction has gained attention for showcasing the power of seizing unconventional opportunities, even in the most unexpected settings.

Meanwhile, fans hoping to catch Coldplay live at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on January 18, 19 and 21, 2025, still have a chance through Infinity Tickets. Priced at ₹2,000 each, these limited tickets will be available from November 22 on BookMyShow and are randomly allocated anywhere in the venue. With regular tickets already sold out, Infinity Tickets provide fans one last opportunity to see the Grammy-winning band perform live.

Coldplay’s, Music of the Spheres World Tour continues to attract fans worldwide and this creative job-seeking story has only added to the excitement surrounding the band’s return to India.
