Over 50 students from a private coaching centre in Khed tehsil of Pune district were taken to the hospital because they got sick after eating. The police said this happened on Monday.

The students got sick on Sunday night. A senior police officer said the students are okay now. They got some treatment in the hospital and then went home.

The coaching centre helps students prepare for exams to get into engineering or medical colleges. They also have a place for students to stay.

“After dinner last night, some students started feeling sick because of the food. They went to the hospital for help,” said Rajkumar Kendre, a police officer in Khed.

“The students got some help in the hospital and then they left,” he said.

The police are trying to find out why the students got sick. They sent samples of the food to a lab for testing.
