DPR For Pune District Tourism Plan To Be Ready In Two Months
Pune: To boost tourism in the district, a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed Pune District Tourism Development Plan will be prepared within the next two months. The project has been assigned to a private firm, and once the DPR is completed, the implementation of the tourism plan will take place over the next three years.
Pune district is home to a diverse range of tourist attractions, including religious sites, historical monuments, agricultural tourism spots, and scenic natural locations. Considering this geographical diversity, a structured tourism development plan is in progress. District Collector Jitendra Dudi has taken the initiative, and Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar has directed immediate action on the plan.
Pawar emphasized the need for an integrated tourism development approach, ensuring that historical landmarks, religious sites, forts, and monuments across Pune and its talukas are highlighted on the tourism map. The plan will cover various tourism aspects, including religious, historical, heritage forts, medical tourism, agricultural tourism, and nature tourism. The private firm assigned to the project is expected to submit the DPR within two months, as confirmed by Collector Dudi.
