Ajay Devgn recently shared an exciting announcement video confirming that Drishyam 3 will release in theaters on 2 October 2026, celebrated as Drishyam Day. After years of suspense, fans finally have a date to look forward to.
In the teaser, Ajay’s character Vijay Salgaonkar once again shows his unyielding determination to protect his family at any cost. The video also features glimpses from the earlier films, reminding fans of the clever maneuvers and suspenseful moments that made the series iconic. Ajay says, “The world may call me by many names, but it doesn’t matter. Everything that happened in the past seven years—the things I did, the things I saw, the things shown to me—taught me one thing: everyone’s truth is different, everyone’s right is different. My truth, my right, is only my family. Until everyone tires, until everyone gives up, I will stand firm as their protector, as a wall. The story isn’t over yet… the final part remains.”
Ajay Devgn reprises his role as Vijay Salgaonkar, with Shreya Saran returning as his wife. Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav will play his daughters, while Tabu steps into the role of a determined police officer. The film also features Abhishek Pathak, Kumar Mangat, Alok Jain, and Rajat Kapoor. Although it is not yet confirmed whether Akshay Khanna, who played a pivotal police officer in Drishyam 2, will return, fans are already buzzing with excitement. Shooting for the film is underway, and a full trailer is expected sometime in 2026.
The Drishyam saga revolves around Vijay Salgaonkar, an ordinary man from Goa, whose life changes dramatically when a murder occurs in his household. Using his intelligence and sharp instincts, Vijay goes to extraordinary lengths to protect his family, resulting in a suspenseful narrative full of twists and turns. Directed by Nishikant Kamat, the original Drishyam released in 2015 and was a huge hit, followed by Drishyam 2 in 2022, which surpassed expectations and became an even bigger blockbuster. Both films are adaptations of the Malayalam hit starring Mohanlal.
