Dubai has announced the introduction of a five-year multiple-entry visa for Indian tourists, aiming to strengthen travel ties and encourage sustained economic collaborations between India and the UAE.

In 2023, Dubai witnessed a significant increase in Indian visitors, welcoming 2.46 million overnight tourists, marking a 25% rise from the pre-pandemic era. India remains the top source market for Dubai, contributing to its tourism sector’s record-breaking performance.

The new visa, issued within 2-5 working days, allows a 90-day stay with a single extension for a similar period, not exceeding 180 days in a year.

The initiative aims to offer operational flexibility for business and leisure travel, fostering seamless connectivity between the two nations.

Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism anticipates that this strategic move will contribute to Dubai’s position as a hub for business, investment, and tourism, aligning with the goals of the D33 Agenda. It also mentioned that the diverse Indian market allows Dubai to attract a broad range of travellers, catering to various preferences such as luxury shopping, cultural experiences, family-friendly attractions, and business conferences.

The UAE’s ongoing commitment to the Indian market, coupled with exceptional flight connectivity, is expected to amplify awareness of Dubai’s diverse offerings and multicultural environment.
