Education Department Launches Inspection Campaign From Aug 1 To Improve School Facilities
In a significant move aimed at enhancing the quality of education, the Education Department will carry out inspections of schools across the state from August 1 to 31. Under the Student Quality Development Campaign, officials will visit schools to evaluate the implementation of various schemes for students from first to twelfth grade.
Education Commissioner Suraj Mandhare announced that the inspections will focus on several key areas. These include measures to reduce the weight of students’ backpacks, utilization of blank pages in textbooks, student attendance, the execution of Happy Saturday activities, and school timings. This comprehensive approach aims to ensure that the facilities provided by the Education Department are effectively benefiting the students.
The campaign, spearheaded by the state school education minister Deepak Kesarkar, was decided in a recent meeting. It outlines a mission for the first twenty days to visit schools, followed by a six-day period for corrective actions, and a final four days to ensure proper implementation of these measures.
A wide range of officials, including the Deputy Director of Education, Education Officer, Group Education Officer, and principals, will be involved in this campaign. They are required to update their inspection reports daily through a dedicated online portal. The Deputy Director of Education has emphasized the need for thorough and accurate data collection to verify that the schemes are effectively reaching the students.
This initiative underscores the department’s commitment to enhancing the educational environment and ensuring that all students receive the full benefits of the state’s educational programs.
