Elon Musk’s New Mail Service: Unveiling the Differences Between Gmail and XMail

Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest individual, recently confirmed plans to launch a new email service to compete with Google’s Gmail.

This revelation followed a query by Nathan McGrady, a senior member of the Security Engineering team at X, the social media platform owned by Musk, regarding the launch date of XMail.

While Musk didn’t specify the launch date, he responded with a succinct “It’s coming,” creating ripples in the email sector dominated by Gmail.

Although little is officially known about XMail, speculations suggest it could offer improved privacy, faster delivery, and a minimalist design. Musk’s announcement comes amid rumours of Google potentially shutting down Gmail on August 1, a claim the tech giant refuted on X, affirming that “Gmail is here to stay.”

Musk’s foray into email services adds to his ongoing ventures, including developments in online payments and video calls.
