Leh-Kargil: In a bid to enhance the quality of education in the remote regions of Ladakh, Kreative Change, in collaboration with 14 Corps Leh, successfully conducted a 10-day intensive teachers’ training program at Bombay Engineer Group (BEG), Pune. The initiative aimed at equipping educators from Leh and Kargil with modern teaching methodologies and best practices.

Empowering Educators in Remote Regions

Sixteen teachers, including 13 female and 3 male participants, took part in the training, receiving specialized guidance from renowned experts. The program also included visits to Southern Command, College of Military Engineering, Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre, and the National Defence Academy, exposing educators to various facets of discipline, leadership, and innovation.

Comprehensive Training Modules

The sessions covered a wide range of topics to enhance teaching effectiveness. Educators were introduced to the role of Artificial Intelligence in transforming classrooms and learned effective classroom management strategies to improve student engagement and discipline. Detailed insights into the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 helped them understand its reforms and implementation. The program also focused on strengthening educators’ communication and public speaking skills, as well as techniques for enhancing brain health and cognitive development in students. Training sessions were also conducted at Ekam Consultants, SNBP School, and Army Public School, offering diverse learning experiences.

Beyond Classroom Learning

To provide real-world insights, participants visited General Electric (GE) to understand technological advancements and Chitale Bandhu, where they explored entrepreneurship and industry practices. These visits broadened their perspectives on the practical applications of education.

A Commitment to Long-Term Impact

Kreative Change aims to sustain this initiative by supporting educators as they implement their new learnings in their respective schools. This program is part of a larger vision to bridge the educational gap between remote regions and global standards.

As these educators return to their classrooms, they carry not just knowledge but a renewed sense of purpose, fostering transformative learning experiences for students across the Himalayas.
