 Nagpur: In a recent district planning meeting in Gadchiroli, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis, declared a comprehensive plan to eliminate encroachments on all religious places in the state. The announcement is part of a phased approach to reclaiming these sacred sites.

Fadnavis emphasized the need to address encroachments on religious grounds systematically, indicating that the removal process will unfold gradually. This initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to preserving the sanctity of religious spaces across the state.

Additionally, Fadnavis touched upon efforts to establish an airport in Gadchiroli district, highlighting the region’s potential for improved connectivity and infrastructure development. The proposed airport is seen as a strategic move to boost economic activities and facilitate easier access to the district.

Gadchiroli district is predominantly tribal. Various industries have been started there by the government. The district is now in the process of becoming an industrial hub. Keeping this in mind, the state government will try to provide maximum funds for this district. There is an attempt to start an airport in Gadchiroli district. The survey has been completed at that location. He further said that the land acquisition work will start soon.

A government medical college will also be started in this district. 

In the meeting of the District Planning Committee, the questions related to the land of the Forest Department were discussed and resolved. Also, the problems of the electricity department were

discussed to provide more funds for the development of this district.

Fadnavis said that the work of the first phase of the Kondsari project will start soon and the foundation of the second project worth Rs 20,000 crore will also be laid.
