Families of Manu Bhaker and Neeraj Chopra Address Wedding Rumors: ‘Not Thinking About Marriage’
Recent speculation about a possible romantic link between shooting star Manu Bhaker and javelin champion Neeraj Chopra has been firmly addressed by their families. Manu Bhaker, who won two bronze medals at the Paris Olympics in the 10m air pistol event and the mixed team event with Sarabjot Singh, met Neeraj Chopra during a felicitation ceremony at the India House in Paris.
The event, organized by IOC member and Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita Ambani, also saw Neeraj interacting with Manu’s mother.
The interactions between Neeraj and Manu, along with the latter’s mother, have led to widespread speculation about a potential marriage. In response, Manu’s father, Ram Kishan Bhaker, clarified that Manu is still very young and not considering marriage. He emphasized that his wife regards Neeraj as a son rather than a romantic interest.
Neeraj Chopra’s uncle also dispelled any romantic rumors, stating that marriage announcements will be made when the time is right.
Neeraj, who won a silver in men’s javelin at the Paris Games, did not meet his expectations in the finals but earned recognition for his performance. Manu narrowly missed out on a third medal, finishing fourth in the 25m pistol final after a close shoot-off.
