Fatal Accident Takes Place As Truck Hits Biker In Hinjewadi; Police Investigation On
Pune News : Drunk car driver hits two-wheeler in Kharadi; 1 dead, 1 seriously injured
In a shocking incident, that took place at Lakshmi Chowk in Hinjewadi on 23rd August a bike rider got trapped under the wheel of a truck. However, the truck driver fled after the accident. Shockingly, after the accident, people around were more interested in taking videos instead of helping. Hence, the biker died after some time.
As per information from Vivek Mugalikar, Senior Police Inspector, Hinjewadi Police Station, the deceased biker was going to his workplace at 7:30 am on 23rd August. While riding, a truck driver, coming from Vitthal Lawns, Lakshmi Chowk, Hinjewadi, was driving the truck with utmost negligence & disregard for traffic rules.
The truck driver fiercely hit the bike rider from backside near Lakshmi Chowk, damaging the bike & seriously injuring the deceased biker. For a long time, the biker was trapped under the wheel of the truck. Instead of helping him, people took photos and videos. The police then took him to the hospital but he took his last breath while he was being taken to the hospital. The truck driver also fled from the spot.
A case has been registered under Section 304 (A) & 427 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) & Sections 184, 119/177 of the Motor Vehicles Act. Further investigation is going on.
