Fifty trained health officials to handle supply from oxygen plants

Pune district administration is overlooking the installation of various oxygen supply plants at various public hospitals. The administration is also looking after training process of the people who will handle supply of these oxygen plants.

In the second Covid19 wave, most of the patients were in dire need of oxygen supply to save their lives. But due to unavailability of oxygen many patients lost their lives.  

To tackle the issue of oxygen plants, state government asked to install oxygen plants in various districts. Several oxygen plants are being installed in Pune district including Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.

Dr Rajesh Deshmukh, Pune district collector said, the district health administration wants to fulfil the requirement of oxygen supply to the patients so that no patient remains deprived of medical facilities. Several medical superintendents and medicine producing officers were trained at the Pune district collector office recently. The training programme was attended by Ayush Prasad, Chief Executive Officer, Pune Zilha Parishad, former director and Covid19 coordinator Dr Nitin Bilorikar, Zilha Parishad Additional CEO Shendge, Dr Ashok Nandapurkar, District civil surgeon.
