Fire Breaks Out In DEMU Train Coach On Daund-Pune Route, Passengers Safe
Pune, Maharashtra: Panic gripped passengers on a DEMU train traveling from Daund to Pune when a fire suddenly broke out in one of its coaches on Sunday. The flames spread quickly, engulfing a large section of the coach and prompting an emergency response.
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported. All passengers were safely evacuated from the affected coach in time, thanks to the swift action of railway staff and alert co-passengers. The train was halted immediately after the smoke was noticed, preventing a potential disaster.
Railway officials arrived at the scene and managed to bring the situation under control. Fire and rescue teams were also pressed into service to douse the flames and secure the area. Train services on the route were temporarily affected but were later restored.
