Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a special visit to Jammu, bringing significant progress to the region. During his visit, ”He inaugurated the first Electric Train and launched the train service connecting Sangaldan station to Baramulla station.”

In addition to achieving transportation milestones, Prime Minister Modi launched several development projects, investing over 32,000 crores. These projects focused on various sectors such as ”education, railways, aviation, and roads.” It is worth noting that he handed out appointment orders to 1,500 newly recruited individuals for the Jammu and Kashmir government.

The Prime Minister also marked the beginning of a new era for Jammu Airport by laying the foundation stone for a modern terminal building. Emphasizing his commitment to the region, he dedicated ”several rail projects, including a new rail line spanning Banihal-Khari-Sumber-Sangaldan (48 km) and the electrified Baramulla-Srinagar-Banihal-Sangaldan section (185.66 km).”

Furthermore, PM Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for diverse development projects valued at 32,500 crores. These projects spanned various sectors, including health, education, rail, road, aviation, petroleum, and civic infrastructure.

The public program in Jammu witnessed the felicitation of ”PM Modi by Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha, underscoring the collaborative efforts towards the region’s progress.”
