Food trucks are becoming den for revellers

Food trucks on NIBM road, Salunke Vihar road, Wanawadi are becoming a den for revellers. Taking advantage of the presence of these food trucks, many drunkards are causing nuisance to the local residents.
One such complaint has come up from NIBM road where the citizens are facing similar nuisance where the citizens stop by to eat food from the food truck and buy liquor from the shop behind it. This stationery food truck has become a den for revellers.
A resident of the area complained that it is difficult for women to walk in the area in the evening. The drunkards stand outside the shop and create nuisance. We are not against any business but their nuisance shall not be tolerated.
When Pune Pulse spoke to the local Corporator Nanda Lonkar, she said, “Such nuisance causing places should get their acts right. The local residents should not suffer because of them. Action by RTO office shall be taken.”
When Pune Pulse spoke to Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Ajit Shinde, he said, “These vehicles have no permission from us. Local residents can complain to the RTO as well as PMC and demand permit of use from such trucks. Action shall be taken against them.”
