Foreign YouTuber Karl Rock Praises Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport Terminal 2 as “World’s Most Beautiful

Popular YouTuber Karl Rock has stirred up discussions online with his recent video showcasing the stunning architecture of Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) Terminal 2 in Bengaluru, India. In the video, Rock expresses awe at the airport’s design, dubbing it as potentially the “world’s most beautiful airport.”

Sharing the video, Rock highlighted the modern and aesthetic appeal of Terminal 2, designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM), and praised its seamless blend of functionality with captivating design elements. 

The terminal boasts spacious interiors flooded with natural light, efficient passenger flow systems, state-of-the-art technology, and sustainable features, all while paying homage to local culture and history.

Terminal 2, spanning 2,55,661 square meters, represents Karnataka’s culture and serves as a technological marvel. Recognized globally in 2023, it secured accolades such as the ‘World Special Prize for an Interior 2023’ by UNESCO’s Prix Versailles, solidifying its status as one of the world’s most beautiful airports.

Furthermore, the entire Kempegowda International Airport was honored as the best airport for arrivals worldwide, providing a memorable and seamless experience, as acknowledged by the Airports Council International’s Airport Service Quality Awards 2023. Alongside two other airports, Bengaluru’s airport shared this prestigious recognition, further cementing its reputation for excellence in the aviation industry.
