Foundation laid for booster pump near Kad Nagar

For the last eight months residents of Palace Orchard led by Prajakta Pethkar were continuously following up with the Pune Municipal Corporation to get adequate water supply to the society which is struggling to get PMC water for the last 25 years. The efforts yielded efforts yesterday, when the local corporator Prabhag 26 Nanda Lonkar and Hadapsar Constituency MLA Chetan Tupe laid foundation for a booster pump on February 20, 2022. With the installation of this pump at Kad nagar in Undri will resolve water supply of the neighbouring societies.

Nanda Lonkar said, “The residents of the area were continuously following up with me to resolve the water issue. The residents have been dependent on tanker water heavily due to no water supply from PMC. The residents knocked every possible door to resolve the problem. But I took it as a challenge despite the fact this isn’t my ward. I spoke to Chetan Tupe and requested him to resolve the issue. Today, after eight months we have been successful in getting them the desired work done. “

Prajakta Pethkar, a society resident said, “I had to hold a lot of patience and consistency. Doing a right work with good intentions from right people at the right time definitely yields result. I am blessed to have a friend like Parveen Tambe who stood with me always. I am grateful to Nanda Lonkar and Chetan Tupe.”

Within eight to ten days the society residents will get water supply, added Lonkar.
