Kolhapur’s Ranveer and Satara’s Rohini Mohite adjudged the Best Player

Pune, February 19: Nagpur women judokas proved to be a supreme force in the 48th State Senior Judo Championship 2022, organized by Maharashtra Judo Association, at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi-Mhalunge, here on Saturday.

On the concluding day of the championship, Nagpur bagged 2 gold and 2 bronze medals. in the women’s category and were followed by Krida Prabodhini who finished with 2 gold and 1 bronze medal.

For Nagpur, Ketki Gore (48 to 52 kgs) and, Shubhangi Raut (52 to 57 kgs) claimed gold respectively and set the tone. Ketki put aside the challenge of Jayanti Patil (Kolhapur), while Shubhangi got the better of Greha Parmar (Mumbai).

Krida Prabodhini had their two golds come from Kajal Autade who beat Rudhvi Shrungarpure (Kolhapur) to claim the 57 to 63 kgs weight category and later Samiksha Shelar downed Divya Kardel (Nashik) won her final bout in the 63 to 70 kgs category.

The other golds for the day were claimed by Rohini Mohite (Satara) in the Below 48 kgs section, Janhavi Pathak (Pune District Judo Association) topped the 70 to 78 kg section and Apoorva Patil (Thane) who claimed the Above 78 kgs title clash.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh Bhosale (Kolhapur) and Rohini Mohite (Satara) were adjudged the Best Player in the men and women sections respectively.

Women: Under 48 kgs: Final: Rohini Mohite (Sat) beat Vaishnavi Patil (Kol)

Bronze: Shraddha Chopde bt Bhakti Bhosale (Thn) and Kajal Raut (Nag) bt Aishwarya Shelke (Sgl)

48 to 52 kgs: Final: Ketki Gore (Nag) beat Jayanti Patil (Kol)

Bronze: Snehal Khawre bt Gauri Shinde (Sgl) and Disha Khare (Gon) bt Gunjan Patil (Dhu).

52 to 57 kgs: Final: Shubhangi Raut (Nag) bt Greha Parmar (Mum)

Bronze: Vidya Lohar (Nsk) bt Kalyani Ugale (Dhu) and Priyanka Sanas (Maharashtra Police) bt Prarthana Gaikwad (Sgl)

57 to 63 kgs: Final: Kajal Autade (Sports Academy) bt Rudhvi Shrungarpure (Kol)

Bronze: Ashwini Kale (A’Nagar) bt Mehek Sheikh (S’durg) and Tejaswini Barwal (Aur) bt Sanskriti Chaudhary (Wdh).

63 to 70 kgs: Final: Samiksha Shelar (Krida Prabhodini) bt Divya Kardel (Nsk)

Bronze: Shravani Sakhare (Amr) bt Ashlesha Ingawale (PDJA) and Hema Mulye (Akl) bt Chaitrali Kalekar (Kol).

70 to 78 kgs: Final: Janhvi Pathak (PDJA) bt Pooja Khangutkar (Mumbai)

Bronze: Saili Vijesh (Thn) Shilpa Shegave (S’durg) and Mansi Patil (Kol) bt Kavira Kale (Maharashtra Police)

Above 78 kgs: Final: Apoorva Patil (Thn) bt Anita Nikam (PDJA)

Bronze: Ishita Kapta (Nag) bt Niyati Ghulane (Amr) and Shambhavi Kadam (Mum) bt Sanika Gaikwad (Kol)
